Friday, April 3, 2026 — Sequoyah County District #3 residents will have an opportunity to dispose of unwanted trash and household debris during the district’s annual Spring Cleanup, scheduled for April 22 and 23.
County officials announced that multiple dumpster sites will be available throughout the district to make drop-off convenient for residents. Dumpsters will be placed at the Central Fire Department, the Redland Fire Department, Anglen Grocery in Nicut, the Brent Community Center in Gans, Gans Public School, the Rocky Point Fire Department, and at a location on Highway 59 across from the former Sparks Convenience Store. An additional dumpster will also be available at the Maple Fire Department.
The two-day cleanup event is part of District #3’s ongoing efforts to promote cleaner neighborhoods and reduce roadside dumping. Residents are encouraged to use the designated sites to get rid of accumulated household trash, old furniture, and other non-hazardous waste.
Officials noted that certain materials, including hazardous chemicals, tires, and electronics, may not be accepted and should be disposed of through proper facilities.
For more information, residents may contact the Sequoyah County Commissioner’s office.
