Diamond Daze Pageant to Take Center Stage May 1 in Sallisaw

Wednesday, April 1, 2026 — The annual Diamond Daze Pageant is set to return to Sallisaw on Friday, May 1, allowing local youth to compete for crowns, titles, and scholarships. The event will be held at “The Auditorium” beginning at 6 p.m., and admission for spectators is $1 cash at the door.

Age divisions for girls include 12–23 months, 2–3 years, 4–6 years, 7–9 years, 10–12 years, 13–15 years for the Teen Miss Diamond Daze division, and 16–19 years for the Miss Diamond Daze division. Boys’ divisions include 12–23 months, 2–3 years, 4–6 years, and 7–9 years.

Registration for the event is open through April 30 with an entry fee of $40. Entry forms can be picked up at the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce.

To ensure that all children who want to participate can do so, the Chamber of Commerce is encouraging local businesses, organizations, and civic groups to consider sponsoring a contestant. Sponsorships cover the full registration fee, removing financial barriers and giving every child the opportunity to experience the pageant.

Winners in each age division will receive a crown, sash, and a cash prize or gift. Depending on participation, first, second, third, and fourth runners-up may also be named, with all runners-up receiving a certificate and gift.

The Miss Diamond Daze titleholder will receive a crown, a sash, flowers, a cash prize, and a scholarship. Additional awards will be given for the evening wear winner and the on-stage question winner, who will each receive certificates. The Miss Diamond Daze division may also name first, second, and third runners-up, depending on the number of entries.

Both Miss Diamond Daze and Teen Miss Diamond Daze will serve as ambassadors for the community throughout their reign. Titleholders will be expected to attend local events, parades, and public appearances as requested. In addition, each young woman will be required to complete a community service project of her choosing during her year as titleholder.
