Diamond Daze Festival Kicks Off Today

Friday, May 2, 2025—The much-anticipated Diamond Daze Festival officially kicks off today, Friday, May 2. This annual event offers a packed weekend of activities, live music, food, and fun in downtown Sallisaw.

Friday, May 2 Events:

11 a.m. – Indian Tacos on Main Street

5 p.m. – Street Games at Stage Park

6 p.m. – Live music by Ted Capps Band at Pocket Park

7:30 p.m. – Singo (musical bingo) at Stage Park

8:30 p.m. – Performance by Kanton Teen & the Penny Pickers at Pocket Park

Saturday, May 3 Highlights:

6:30 a.m. – Car Show & Swap Meet Registration (enter via Wheeler Avenue)

7 a.m. – Masonic Lodge Breakfast, Redwood Avenue

8 a.m. – Fun Run/Walk at Old SHS Rotunda Park

8:30 a.m. – 5K Wings Race & Diamond Daze Pageant Registration

9 a.m. – 3-on-3 Basketball at Sallisaw Middle School & Pageants at Stage Park

10 a.m. – Stick Ball at the middle school

10:30 a.m. – Cherokee Nation Youth Choir at Pocket Park

11 a.m. – Children’s Zone on Choctaw Avenue

11 a.m. - BBQ Taster Kits go on sale

11:30 a.m. – Bingo at Pocket Park

12:45 p.m. – Libby Starks Band at Stage Park

1 p.m. – Middle School Jazz Band at Pocket Park

2 p.m. – Main Street BBQ Contest Awards (Pocket Park) & Car Show Awards (Chickasaw Avenue)

2:30 p.m. – Chet’s Hot Dog-Eating Contest at Stage Park & Canyon Sons Band at Pocket Park

4 p.m. – Mr. Cabbagehead & the Screaming Radishes at Stage Park

7 p.m. – Headliner Drake Hyde at Stage Park
