Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 - Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative is hosting its 73rd annual meeting from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, in the parking lot of Sallisaw High School, 2301 W. Ruth Ave.
The meeting will be in a drive-through format like it was last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Registration and the meeting will begin at 8 a.m. and members may arrive any time between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Members will enter from the east on West Ruth Avenue and turn north on J.T. Stites Boulevard. Once they arrive at the designated entry, members will be directed by a Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative (CHEC) employee to the registration area. CHEC employees will complete members’ registrations at their vehicles and provide instructions on proceeding through the drive-through area.
Members are asked to remain in their vehicles and proceed through a designated line that continues through the parking area to the designated exit.
Please note that wait times may be significant. If you or the passengers in your vehicle have medical conditions or find it difficult to spend an extended amount of time in a vehicle, please make preparations accordingly. Restroom facilities will not be available at the meeting site.
Members who present a letter from CHEC regarding this annual meeting when they register Saturday will receive one $20 credit toward their electric bill per membership and a complimentary gift bag (while supplies last). The letter also will allow customers to vote and be entered into the day's prize drawings.
Children ages 2-16 who attend will receive a ticket for a chance to win a free prize. Prize winners for members and children will be announced Tuesday, Oct. 5, on CHEC's Facebook page. CHEC will also call to notify each prize winner and make arrangements for prize pickup at either the Stigler or Sallisaw office.
