March 18, 2026 — Residents of Sequoyah County are invited to share their thoughts and experiences during an upcoming listening session focused on community health, aimed at improving local services and overall well-being.
The event, hosted by the Sequoyah County Health Department and the Sallisaw NOW Coalition, will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Wheeler Event Center.
Organizers say the session is designed to gather input from community members about factors that impact health, including housing, income, and access to healthcare. The feedback collected will help guide future programs, services, and initiatives to build a healthier community.
Community participation is critical, as local perspectives play a key role in identifying needs and shaping solutions. Residents of all backgrounds are encouraged to attend and share their input.
The Wheeler Event Center is located at 111 N Elm St in Sallisaw.
