Monday, April 4, 2022 - Many area towns have been busy planning Easter egg hunts and activities for children throughout the county. This presents the perfect opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy some family fun and fellowship in a town near you.
Sallisaw
Local churches have joined together to organize the 2022 Community Easter Egg Hunt. The event is scheduled to be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw on Saturday, April 9.
The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with activities such as bounce arounds, face painting, food, and games for the children. There will be over 20,000 stuffed eggs for the egg hunt, which will start at 11:30 a.m. Immanuel Baptist Church is located at 1101 N. Wheeler Ave. in Sallisaw.
Vian
The Vian Lions club will be holding an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 17. The event will take place at the Vian Public Schools ballfield and will begin at 3 p.m.
Belfonte
The Belfonte Community Egg Hunt will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 14 at Belfonte Public School. Pre-enrollment for 3 and 4-year old’s will also be held during this event. Those wanting to enroll their child must bring verification of income, a birth certificate, a current immunization record, and a tribal citizenship card for the child and/or their parent.
Greenleaf State Park
Greenleaf State Park will be hosting an egg hunt for all ages on Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m. The event will be held at 12022 Greenleaf Rd.
Marble City
Marble City will hold their Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 9 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Marble City Volunteer Fire Association, located at 104 S. Marble Circle.
Muldrow
The Muldrow Lions' Club will be hosting their annual Easter egg hunt on April 16 at the Muldrow City Park. There will be prizes, free hotdogs and drinks for the children. The event will begin at 11 a.m.
