Community Baby Shower to be Held October 11

Tuesday, October 7, 2025 - The Sequoyah County Health Department is inviting families from across the community to attend a special countywide baby shower on Saturday, October 11, in Sallisaw.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Wheeler Event Center in Sallisaw. Expectant parents and families with young children are welcome to attend and take part in a morning filled with resources, health education, games, and activities. Local organizations will be on hand to share information on family health and community support, and attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for giveaways.

Following the morning activities, additional giveaways will be distributed from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library, located at 101 E. Cherokee Ave. in Sallisaw.

The Baby Shower is designed to support families, provide valuable resources, and celebrate parents and caregivers in Sequoyah County.

The Wheeler Event Center is located at 103 N. Wheeler Avenue in Sallisaw.
