Friday, August 20, 2021 - Cherokee Nation tag office lobbies will be implementing new policies because of the increase in COVID-19 cases. The new rules will take effect Monday, Aug. 23.
Customers visiting a Cherokee Nation tag office are asked to sign in at designated kiosks while wearing a mask, then return to their vehicle to wait until they are contacted by phone. Customers should remain on premises while waiting, until they are called into the office. Only one person will be allowed into the office with each transaction.
Keep the following guidelines in mind:
*Masks are required for everyone, no exceptions.
*Wait times are estimates. The last customer will be seen at 4:15 p.m.
In a statement, Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. thanked residents for understanding and helping to protect Cherokee communities from the spread of COVID-19.
