Monday, July 17, 2023 - As approved by the Board of Trustees of the Sallisaw Municipal Authority at their July 10 meeting, the Sallisaw Municipal Landfill facility will begin closing on Saturdays after August 1, 2023.
This action will be on a trial basis over the next six months.
The only exception to this will be the first Saturday of each month, which the landfill will open for a limited time. At this time the facility is expected to be open from 7:30 a.m. until noon on this single Saturday.
Monday thru Friday regular hours will remain 7:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Landfill staff will have this change posted at the facility.
