Thursday, November 18, 2021 - The grand opening of Cinco’s, a new restaurant in Sallisaw, is set for today (Thursday, November 18) at 11 a.m.

The outside of Cinco's, located at 203 N. Oak St., was recently painted with a bright coat of bold colors, signifying the type of food and atmosphere you will find on the inside.

Audra Nunez, owner of Cinco's, said after traveling for the past 12 years, her family is excited to finally settle in Sallisaw to pursue their business dream and open up a restaurant. "We actually searched the town to see what types of food the city had to offer and found that our menu would be diverse compared to others in town," Nunez said.

Cinco’s menu is quite versatile as it includes items such as Mexican street corn, mexi-mac, Mexican style loaded baked potatoes and walking tacos.

"We will be serving a variety of adult beverages as well as all-time Mexican favorites like horchata and Jarritos. For dessert, you have to try the Tres Le Che Cheesecake," Nunez added.

Whether you are looking for a fun, family-friendly dinner or a date night with your significant other, Nunez said Cinco’s is the place to be. "We have a 4-year-old and when we go out we have to get a babysitter, and two hours of that time is spent driving to and from our destination, so we decided why not eliminate that burden for local residents."

Along with the restaurant, the couple will be offering an event space that individuals can rent for get-togethers such as baby showers, meetings, and weddings. Prices vary depending on the number of people, the occasion, and the services needed for each event.

Nunez added that they will also be hosting events and live concerts that will restricted to those age 21 and up.

For questions related to the event space or to book an event, call 817-403-5068.

To contact the restaurant, call 817-542-8919 or visit Cinco’s Facebook page.

Hours of operation are set for Tuesday-Thursday at 11 a.m.–8 p.m. and Friday-Saturday at 11 a.m.–11 p.m.

The Nunez family said their mission is easily summed up into a few words: "Work hard, be kind, and eat tacos."
