Christmas parades planned across county



Wednesday, November 24, 2021 - The town of Vian will kick off area Christmas parades this year with the town’s 42nd Annual Christmas parade on Thursday, December 2 at 6 p.m. The parade theme "Hometown Heroes Christmas" is in honor of fire fighters, law enforcement, military, medical personnel, etc. The town of Vian will be handling the logistics of the parade and entry forms are available through the city.


Webbers Fall’s annual parade will be on Saturday, December 11, with the line-up beginning at 9 a.m. and the parade starting at 10 a.m.. Any businesses interested in participating can call Norma at 918-464-2920. Sports teams, school organizations, clubs, churches, businesses, individuals, golf carts, four-wheelers, bicycles, and motorcycles are all invited to participate.


Gore will host their Christmas parade on Saturday, December 11, at 11 a.m. This year’s parade theme is "Hometown Christmas." For additional information contact the Gore Chamber of Commerce at 918-351-8835.


Roland is set to host their community parade on Saturday, December 11, with staging starting at 9:30 a.m. at Roland High School. This year’s theme is "Hometown Christmas." The parade will head south on Roland Road and end at the Roland Hills shopping center. Roland Chamber of Commerce said they are currently searching for parade entries which include churches, civic groups, equine and motorsport enthusiasts, businesses, teams, bands, and any community member who wants to share the spirit of Christmas. The participation of entries is free, but all parade entries must be registered.


Marble City’s Christmas parade will be held on Saturday, December 11, at 2 p.m. The line-up will begin at the nutrition center north of town at 1 p.m. The Pride of Sequoyah High School Marching Band will be performing, and the Marble City Historical Society will be providing hot chocolate and cookies at the bank while supplies last. There will be a community revitalization gathering after the parade at the fire department to discuss the town’s master plan, and everyone is invited to attend. There will also be door prizes that they will be drawing for.


The Muldrow Christmas parade will be held on Saturday, December 11 at 4:30 p.m. Muldrow’s parade theme is set as "Hometown Christmas". The Muldrow Lions Club stated, "We will be releasing additional parade information soon."


The City of Sallisaw's Christmas parade will be the last parade of the evening on Saturday, December 11. The lineup will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Choctaw Street. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and float entries will be divided into 3 categories: business, schools and school organizations, churches, and non-profits. The theme of the parade will be "Hometown Christmas." Contact the Sallisaw chamber of commerce at 918-775-2558 for parade entry forms, which become available November 22, and are due by 12 noon on December 10. Every parade entry must have a registration form, not just floats. The Mix 105.1 will be broadcasting from the parade.
