Sunday, February 22, 2026 — Residents will have an opportunity to update important documents and connect with tribal services during an upcoming citizenship registration and photo ID event at the Marble City Community & Wellness Center.
The event will take place on Thursday, February 26, from 3 to 7 p.m. at 101 N. Main St. in Marble City. Cherokee Nation staff will be on-site throughout the afternoon and evening to assist citizens and families with photo ID updates, new tribal citizenship applications, and information about available programs and services.
Organizers say the event is designed to make services more accessible to citizens living in and around Marble City. Staff members will be available to answer questions, review required documents, and help guide attendees through each step of the process to ensure a smooth and successful visit.
Individuals seeking to update their photo ID must be enrolled Cherokee Nation citizens and present a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID. A parent or legal guardian must accompany minors, and court-ordered guardianship documents are required when applicable.
Those interested in beginning a new tribal citizenship application are encouraged to review the Cherokee Nation application packet prior to the event.
For additional information before the event, individuals may call (918) 525-2178.
Community leaders encourage citizens to take advantage of the opportunity, noting that participation helps ensure every Cherokee Nation citizen has access to the identification and services they deserve while strengthening the Cherokee community as a whole.
