Cherokee Nation Now Accepting Applications for Annual Elder Angel Project

Wednesday, November 12, 2025 — The Cherokee Nation is now accepting applications for its annual Elder Angel Project, a program designed to spread holiday cheer by providing Christmas gifts to eligible Cherokee elders.
To qualify for the program, applicants must be 60 years of age or older, citizens of the Cherokee Nation, and reside within the Cherokee Nation Reservation. Applicants are also required to provide proof of income at the time of application.
Elders may apply in person at any Cherokee Nation Human Services office across the reservation between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Tuesday, November 18.
The Elder Angel Project has become a cherished tradition, helping ensure that Cherokee elders receive recognition and joy during the holiday season.
