Cherokee Nation Crowns the 2025-2026 Miss and Jr. Miss Cherokee

Monday, August 18, 2025- On Saturday, August 16, the Cherokee Nation crowned its newest cultural ambassadors during the 2025-2026 Miss Cherokee competition.
Hannah Neugin, 20, of Hulbert, was named Miss Cherokee, while 16-year-old Reese Henson of Tahlequah earned the title of Jr. Miss Cherokee.
The event highlighted the talents, knowledge, and leadership of Cherokee youth, with each contestant sharing their commitment to preserving and promoting the Cherokee language, culture, and traditions.
Cherokee Nation officials congratulated all of the young women who competed, noting that their dedication makes them strong representatives of the tribe.
A special wado (thank you) was also extended to outgoing royalty, Miss Cherokee Ella Mounce and Jr. Miss Cherokee Dayci Starr, for their service and dedication to the Cherokee Nation throughout the past year.
