Cherokee Nation Career Services Now Accepting Applications for 2026 Summer Career Exploration Program

Tuesday, February 17, 2026 — Cherokee Nation Career Services is now accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Career Exploration Program, allowing young tribal citizens to explore potential career paths while deepening their connection to culture and community.
The program is open to Cherokee Nation citizens who are 14 or 15 years old by June 3, 2026. The course is designed to expand students’ knowledge and interests in careers, culture, and community through structured activities and hands-on learning experiences.
Applications will be accepted from February 2 to April 10. All required documents must be completed and submitted before applicants will be considered. The deadline to apply is April 10.
Two sessions will be offered this summer. The first session, serving Cherokee and surrounding counties, will run Tuesday through Friday, June 2 to June 12. The second session, serving Sequoyah and surrounding counties, will take place Monday through Thursday, June 29 to July 9.
