Monday, March 14, 2022 - Are you ready to get the family out of the house, take advantage of some good old-fashioned vitamin D, and engage in community activities once again? If so, then you will want to make sure to mark your calendars for May 6 and 7 so you don’t miss out on the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce's annual Diamond Daze festivities.
Diamond Daze will be held throughout the streets of downtown Sallisaw and will have something to offer for everyone. This annual event brings one full city block just for children’s inflatables, along with a car show, cornhole tournament, job fair, vendors, and, of course, some tasty food.
Music will fill the streets as bands perform in three separate downtown locations. The Pocket Park, GRDA stage, and the Diamond Stage will be where you can go to hear a variety of musical entertainment.
"Sing Sallisaw" will be returning this year and will offer two divisions of competition. The first division will be for those 12 and under, while the second division will be for ages 13–28.
On Friday evening, starting at dusk, Sallisaw Main Street will be your host for "A Movie on the Lawn". Then, on Saturday morning, be sure to head out and purchase your taste testing kit for the annual BBQ contest.
This year, the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce will be the host of Sallisaw’s first ever half marathon, 5k, and fun run! So, all you runners out there, be sure to lace up those running shoes and get ready to run through the streets of Sallisaw.
10x10 vendor spaces are available but will not have access to water or electricity. Job fair booths and vendors will need to complete a vendor form and return it to the chamber as soon as possible. All food vendors will need to contact the Sallisaw Chamber for approval.
Vendor booth forms are currently available at the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce office Monday-Friday from 9-5.
