Saturday, August 13, 2022 - The Catholic Charities Helping Center in Sallisaw is seeking assistance from the community. The organization recently expressed a need for donations of clothing in all sizes, but especially for men.
Catholic Charities Sallisaw Manager Pam Wemhaner said, "Men’s clothing, shoes, socks, and underwear are something we struggle to keep in stock year-round. Currently, we have an extreme need for these items in our area."
The center is staffed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The organization asks that all donations be dropped off during these days and times.
"Unfortunately, we have issues in the area and donations end up vandalized when dropped off after hours," Wemhaner stated.
