Catholic Charities items must be picked up by Thursday

Tuesday, December 20, 2022 - If your child was signed up through the Department of Human Services (DHS) to receive Angel Tree gifts or a family food basket, time is running out to pick up those items.

Catholic Charities Helping Center manager Pam Wemhaner said, "We really want to get these gifts to the children before Christmas. All families have been contacted, but we still have several that have not been picked up."

Catholic Charities works hard year after year to assist DHS with this project to assure that no child goes without on Christmas morning.

Wemhaner stated, "All items must be picked up or assigned for someone to pick up by 2 p.m. on Thursday of this week. There will not be anyone available to hand out gifts after 2 p.m. on Thursday."

Catholic Charities will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Catholic Charities Helping Center is located at 409 N. Adams St. in Sallisaw. If you have questions about picking up items, contact the center at 918-775-6111.
