Monday, June 28, 2021 - Catholic Charities has announced that until school starts back up Aug. 12, families in Sallisaw can come to the center twice a month to pick up food.
The center is at 409 N. Adams and is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. For more information, call Catholic Charities at (918) 775-6111.
To pick up food, you must bring identification for each person in your household and proof (such as a utility bill) that you live in the community.
Catholic Charities was created in 1910 to provide services to people in need, to advocate for justice in social structures and to urge the entire church and other people of goodwill to do the same, the group's website says. Sallisaw's Catholic Charities has been doing good works around the community for more than 30 years.
