CASC Returning to normal operations, enrollment open

Wednesday, June 9, 2021 - Carl Albert State College will return to pre-pandemic standard operations, effective immediately. All campus buildings, offices, and services will return to normal, pre-COVID, operating procedures. The wearing of masks on campus is now strictly voluntary, and social distancing precautions will not be mandated. Hand sanitizer stations and disposable masks will continue to be available for use.

At their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, the CASC Board of Regents unanimously approved an oversight addendum to the college’s COVID response plan, which allows campus leadership to quickly amend operating protocols in response to pandemic ebbs and flows. “With the addendum to our previously approved COVID response plan and policy, Cabinet leadership can effectively and swiftly respond to spikes in COVID cases, if needed, and alter campus operations for the safety of our campus community,” said President Jay Falkner. “We appreciate the trust the Board of Regents places in our team to monitor, assess, and respond to the possible instability of the COVID pandemic.”

Enrollment is now open, with a wide array of degree programs and classes to choose from. “Along with our regular programs, we are excited to now offer degree programs in cyber security, new changes within our criminal justice program, and also a program in healthcare administration,” said Marc Willis, Vice President of Academic Affairs. “Our students now have more options than ever before, through on-campus classes, virtual delivery, and online offerings.”

Additionally, financial resources are available to assist students with tuition and fees.
