Wednesday, December 17, 2025 — Sallisaw Main Street has announced the rescheduling of the holiday carriage rides, initially set for the canceled Holiday Market on November 29. The event will now take place this Saturday, December 20, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Elm Street in downtown Sallisaw.
Instead of purchasing tickets, attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation, which will be distributed to local food pantries to aid families in need during the holidays.
Although the event will not feature a holiday market or vendors, various festive activities are organized to foster a joyful atmosphere.
Participants can look forward to horse-drawn carriage rides through the beautifully decorated downtown area, enjoying a hot cocoa bar to stay warm throughout the evening, and a visit from Santa, making it an ideal opportunity for children to share their last-minute Christmas wishes. Additionally, there will be an ornament-building station for families to create lasting keepsakes together.
So, mark your calendars, grab your family, and head downtown this Saturday for a memorable holiday experience.
