Carl Albert State College Men’s Wrestling Qualifies Full Lineup for Nationals in Noteworthy Performance

Friday, February 20, 2026 — The Carl Albert State College (CASC) Men’s Wrestling team delivered a historic performance on Saturday, February 14, at the South-Central District Regional Tournament in Pratt, Kansas, earning a milestone achievement for the Viking program.
Competing for qualification to the NJCAA Wrestling National Championships, the Vikings qualified 10 out of 10 wrestlers for nationals, marking the first time in program history that the men’s team has advanced a full lineup to the national stage.
In addition to qualifying every wrestler, the Carl Albert team placed third overall with 150.5 points and crowned two regional champions.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment for our program,” said Nathan Marek, CASC men's wrestling coach. “Qualifying a full lineup for nationals speaks to the work ethic, discipline, and determination of these student-athletes. We are incredibly proud of how they represent Carl Albert both on and off the mat."
Individual results included:
125 lbs – Dakota Fenwick: 5th Place
133 lbs – Sean-Michael Gonzalez: 1st Place (Regional Champion)
141 lbs – Camden Webb: 6th Place
149 lbs – Kaiden Cue: 4th Place
157 lbs – Monty Hall: 4th Place
165 lbs – Grayson Carpenter: 1st Place (Regional Champion)
175 lbs – Jory Garrett: 4th Place
184 lbs – Braxton Robertson: 6th Place
197 lbs – Corey Chilcoat: 7th Place
285 lbs – Brandon Schoenecke: 4th Place
The Vikings are now shifting their focus to nationals, where they will be competing against the best junior college wrestlers in the country.
