Brushy Lake Park closing for renovation in September

Wednesday, June 2, 2021 - The City of Sallisaw has announced that it will temporarily close Brushy Lake Park beginning Monday, Sept. 13. The closure will allow the city to undertake much-needed renovations to the electric and water lines at the park, among other necessary maintenance jobs.

Once the park closes, there will be no access to the park while the work is being completed. The city anticipates the work will take a minimum of 30-45 days to complete, depending on weather.

Current users of the park should note that several camping spaces do not have electric service available for use at this time. The city has made note of these spaces at the payment shelter and has also covered the pedestals that are not operational. The camping spaces will still be available for use.
