Thursday, November 17, 2022 - Over the past 22 years, Broadway Joe's Cafe` in Muldrow has hosted a free Thanksgiving dinner for everyone to enjoy.
This year will be no different, with the tradition of the free Broadway Joe's Café Thanksgiving Dinner continuing for year 23. The meal is being offered to the entire community on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"With inflation and grocery prices at an all-time high, it can be tough for many this year to budget for a dinner of their own. Perhaps by providing this Thanksgiving dinner we can help to alleviate that burden for many," Marina Morgan, owner of Broadway Joe's Café, said.
The meal will be the same as in previous years, consisting of chicken and dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, a dinner roll, and dessert.
"Something new for this year only is that we will be doing carry-outs. Individuals can pick up their meal at the drive-through window, or you they can call and let us know they’re outside, and we will bring it out to them," Morgan added.
Broadway Joe's Café enjoys giving back to the community, and each year the restaurant accepts donations, although they are not expected.

Broadway Joe’s Café is located at 313 W. Shawntel Smith Boulevard in Muldrow.
