Monday, March 21, 2022 - Two community blood drives have been scheduled by the Oklahoma Blood Institute to benefit MacKenzie Spencer. MacKenzie will undergo surgery in April and will require multiple blood transfusions.

Donations to the blood drives can be made in Spencer's name and will help restock the blood supply for all in need.

Please consider donating at one of the following drives.

March 22: 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm Sallisaw Community Blood Drive, located at Sallisaw First Assembly of God Fellowship Hall

March 29: 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm MacKenzie Spencer Blood Drive, located at Muldrow High School Activity Center

Your donation will NOT go directly to Spencer, so blood type and donation type are not specific to just her needs. Any and all types of blood and donations are welcome.

Please let the staff know up front that this is a credit for Mackenzie Spencer so appropriate paperwork can be completed.

If you would like to donate, please call 1-877-340-8777 to make your donation appointment. Appointments are preferred to help with social distancing. Walk-ins will be managed as schedule allows. If you would like to donate platelets, an appointment is required.

If you have questions, you can contact Shelly Thomas with the Oklahoma Blood Institute at 1-866-708-4995 (toll free).
