Annual OHCE Quilt and Craft Show starts today

Friday, April 8, 2022 - This weekend, members of the Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) organization will host their forty-first annual Sequoyah County Quilt and Craft Show. The show will take place at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds on Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9.

According to the OSU Extension website, "Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) is a county-based, statewide organization with a unique relationship with OSU Extension. Together, OHCE members and county extension educators work to make local communities more resilient by addressing local issues with science-based information from Oklahoma State University."

On Friday the show will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, the show will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. During the event, those who attend will have the opportunity to register to win a blue and yellow sampler quilt that was quilted by members of the Sequoyah County OHCE.

In addition to the quilt show and craft tables, there will also be a bake sale. This will give you the chance to pick up your Easter Sunday baked goods such as cakes, pies, cookies, candy, and cinnamon rolls.

On Friday, an incredible home-made lunch will be available for $8.00. The lunch will include chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, assorted salads, rolls, dessert, and a drink. On Saturday, there will be concessions available that include soup, sandwiches, snacks, and drinks.
