Sunday, October 26, 2025 — Eligible families in the Roland, Liberty (North of Roland), and Moffett communities can sign up for the Angel Tree and Christmas Food Box program on Thursday, November 6, and Friday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waylon Jones Complex in Roland.
The program serves families who meet the 125% federal poverty guidelines, helping ensure that every child enjoys a joyful holiday season. Eligible children must be under the age of 18 and live in the Roland, Moffett, or Liberty area to participate in the Angel Tree program.
Parents should bring Social Security cards for each child, proof of income, and proof of residency, such as a utility bill or other document showing a current address. Children enrolled in the Shop with a Cop, or other angel tree programs are not eligible to participate.
Along with gifts for children, eligible families will receive a Christmas food box filled with items for a complete holiday meal. Elderly residents without children who meet eligibility requirements may register for a food box only.
The Angel Tree and Christmas Food Box program relies entirely on community support, and organizers are calling on residents to help make this year’s effort a success. With more families requesting assistance than ever, donations and Angel sponsorships are urgently needed to ensure every child and family experiences the joy of the season.
Those wishing to donate, sponsor an angel, or contribute gifts or food can contact Melissa Lowe at 918-776-0848.
The Waylon Jones Center is located at 106 Ranger Blvd. in Roland.
