A Fresh Chapter Begins at Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library

Thursday, January 2, 2026 — The Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library is gearing up for 2026 with a full schedule of exciting activities. From hands-on art and science to games, technology, and wellness, the library’s January lineup offers something for everyone.


The new year kicks off on January 5 with Paint with Linda at 2:30 p.m., inviting creativity to take center stage (registration required). Families can settle into a routine of weekly favorites like Storytime on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., while teens can roll the dice and dive into adventure with Teen Dungeons & Dragons every Tuesday at 4 p.m.


Wellness seekers can stretch into the year with Tai Chi, offered multiple times throughout the month, beginning January 7 at 1 p.m. Curious minds of all ages can explore technology during Tech 101 on January 10 at noon, while young scientists will enjoy Kid Science sessions starting January 8 at 4 p.m.


Mid-month highlights include the Friends of the Library Meeting on January 12 at 6 p.m., the always-popular Book Review Luncheon on January 14 at noon (call ahead to register), and more chances to move, learn, and create.


As January winds down, the fun ramps up with The Tubbs: After Hours on January 26 at 6:30 p.m., featuring a lively Millennials vs. Gen Z Trivia Night. The month concludes with a Silent Auction on January 30, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., alongside the day’s Tai Chi session.
