Sunday, July 19, 2026 — One of Sallisaw's longest-running summer traditions is set to return as the 82nd Annual Sallisaw Lions Club IPRA Championship Rodeo rides into town July 30 through August 1, bringing three nights of rodeo action, live entertainment, and family fun.
The festivities kick off on Thursday, July 30, with the annual rodeo parade beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by the rodeo which takes place each night at 8 p.m.
Fans can look forward to all the excitement the rodeo has to offer, including bucking broncs, bull riding, pony rides, barrel racing, roping events, and the always crowd-favorite mutton busting. A professional rodeo clown will also keep the crowd entertained throughout each night’s performances.
Following Thursday night's rodeo, the entertainment continues with a special song swap featuring Wyatt Shumate, Chisholm Ward, and Andrew Walker, giving fans an opportunity to enjoy an evening of live acoustic music and storytelling.
After the Friday and Saturday night rodeo performances, the fun continues with live music and a rodeo dance. Drake Hyde will perform Friday night, while Sethro's Cosmic Cow Camp takes the stage Saturday night.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 10, and free for children ages 5 and under, making it an affordable weekend of entertainment for the entire family.
Whether you're a lifelong rodeo fan or attending for the first time, the organizers invite the community to dust off their boots, grab a cowboy hat, and enjoy three nights of championship rodeo competition, outstanding entertainment, and Western tradition at one of Sallisaw's favorite annual events.
