Tuesday, July 12, 2022 - The Sewing Sisters from Blackgum Harvestime Church will be hosting their 13th annual "Quilts of Past & Present Quilt Show" on Friday, July 29 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, July 30 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. The show will be held at the church’s family center located at 451558 E 0980 Road in Vian.

The name of the quilt show was developed based on the many vintage as well as present-day quilts that will be on display. Lunch will be available each day, featuring the Sewing Sisters' delicious chicken salad sandwiches, soup, homemade desserts, and soft serve ice cream.

Admission to the show is $5.00 per person and everyone is welcome to attend.

The quilts being displayed are crafted by local quilters of all skill levels. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. In addition, National Award-Winning Quilt Artist, Betty Kent New, will be presenting a trunk show during both days of the event.

This year’s vendors include A Stitching Good Time, Coody Creek Quilting, Cawhorn Corner Creations, Central Sewing Center, Circle H Creations, Country Quilts, Cuttin’ Up Quilt Studio, Jolly Jacks Embroidery, Kelly’s Soaps, Quilting Sisters & Mercantile, LLC, Thelma & Marie, Thimbles N’ Thread Quilt Shop, and Thread Play Quilt Shoppe.

All proceeds collected from the show will go to the church.
