Tuesday, November 30, 2021 - On December 11, the streets of historic downtown Webbers Falls will be filled with Christmas cheer as the Webbers Falls Chamber of Commerce hosts a town-wide holiday event.
Hannah Sturgell, member of the Webbers Falls Chamber of Commerce, said, "We would like to invite everyone to head downtown after the town’s parade from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to gather, rejoice, and relish in the spirit of the most wonderful time of the year."
A small market of vendors will be on-hand for those wishing to get a head start on their holiday shopping. There will also be a Christmas tree lighting with prayer and carolers, an old-fashioned cake-walk, and a live manger scene. "Refreshments will be available, and Santa will be making a stop to visit with all the children", "Sturgell said. "This is a family-fun event that will offer something for everyone, regardless of age."
A raffle will be held for six items including a tandem jump from Skydive Cherokee, a quilt ladder, a handmade quilt, a 66x34 crochet afghan, a crochet shawl, and a framed winter scene made from needle point art. Ticket sales will begin at the beginning of the event and end at approximately 6:15 p.m. with the drawing taking place at 6:30 p.m. Tickets will be five dollars each, or six for twenty dollars. According to organizers, winners are not required to be present to win, but prizes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you would like additional information regarding the event, message the Webbers Falls Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
