Thursday, January 26, 2023 - A felony arrest warrant was issued Jan. 24 for Jayson Scott Price, 38, of Sallisaw, where he is accused of identity theft, according to court documents.
On Dec. 12, the Sallisaw Police Department received a report in the mail regarding identity theft and fraud.
The victim in the statement, Jay Lydell Price of Waterloo, Ill., stated that his son Jayson is resident of Sallisaw. Jay Price told police he believed his son had used his Social Security card, and not his own, to obtain credit from several loan companies.
The elder Price sent several items along with his statement, including a Federal Trade Commission Identity Theft Report, a signed and notarized ID Theft Affidavit and copies of letters Jay Price sent to each individual loan company to dispute the charges.
