Stilwell man killed in Sunday accident



Tuesday October 5, 2021 - A Stilwell man was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle-accident.


According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) report, William Teehee, 41, was driving a 2004 Toyota Sequoia when he failed to negotiate a curve, departed the roadway to the left, rolled an unknown number of times, and struck a tree and fence.


The accident occurred at approximately 11:41 am on State Highway 100, approximately one-half miles east of the Cherokee/Adair County line.


Teehee was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel due to head and trunk injuries.

The cause of the collision was listed as unsafe speed for wet roadway.

The OHP was assisted by the Adair County Sheriff’s Department, and Stilwell Fire Department.
