Thursday, August 3, 2023 - The Sequoyah County Health Department is excited to be a part of the back-to-school fun by extending their services at the Sallisaw clinic on Saturday, August 5.
The clinic hours will align with the back-to-school round-up event at the Sallisaw rodeo grounds, making it convenient for families who may have difficulty visiting the health department on weekdays to walk right next door.
During this special two-hour event, the clinic will offer a variety of services to help families prepare for the upcoming school year. These services include free car seat checks and installations, as well as immunizations for children. In addition to the essential services, attendees can enjoy treats such as cold bottled water and Sonic ice cream vouchers.
Whether you decide to walk in or make an appointment, all are welcome to participate in the event. The services provided are available to those who qualify, including individuals with Medicaid and private insurance. Some of the services may even be offered at no cost.
