Wednesday, October 5, 2022 - Registration is now open for Lake Tenkiller’s 22nd annual Women In The Outdoors (WITO) event. This adventurous weekend will be held November 3-6 at Tenkiller State Park in Vian.
WITO is a weekend just for women, full of learning, practicing, or perfecting outdoor skills. Regardless of whether you’re an experienced outdoors-woman, a curious novice, or just an outdoor enthusiast, this event is for you.
This year, attendees will have the option to choose from a variety of over 26 classes. There will be options to try out new crafts like basket weaving, barn quilting, learning how to ferment food plus so much more.
Opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy the crisp fall weather will be present with classes offered in fly fishing, skeet shooting, and a mentored hunt.
Those who are registered can choose to go on the mentored deer hunt either on Thursday or Friday of the event. Ladies will then choose two additional classes per day for Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday night, a banquet including a catered meal will be provided to guests. A silent auction will also take place during this time.
Openings are limited, so register today before time runs out.
