Monday, August 8, 2022 - A Rogers, Ark. man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 Sunday.
Willie Felt, 36, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche westbound one-and-one half miles west of Sallisaw when the accident occurred.
According to the OHP report, he fell asleep, went off the north side of the roadway, overcorrected and rolled the vehicle one and a quarter times. Felt was extricated by members of the McKee Fire Department.
Felt was transported by First Flight Med Evac to St Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was admitted in serious condition with head and trunk internal injuries.
The OHP was assisted by the McKee Fire Dept, Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office, Pafford EMS and First Flight Med Evac.
