Friday, October 15, 2021 - Bryan Hyatt of Muldrow has issued the followed statement to announce his bid for State Senate District 4.
I’m Brian Hyatt and I’m running for State Senate for District 4. I live in Muldrow with my wife of 10 years and our three kids. I am a wretch saved by the grace of God. I am unapologetically Christian. I have the Bible as my standard of living and the Bible will be my standard for legislating.
Every human being is created in the image of God from the moment of fertilization. That truth means human life has inherent value and worth. Some of the things contained in that value and worth are rights. Since the rights are derived from God Himself, they are inherent and inalienable. We are conceived with the possession of those rights given to us by God. Among those rights are the right to life, the right to liberty, and the right to pursue happiness. Government’s job is to protect, to guard, to secure these rights.
Right now in the state of Oklahoma we legally allow the murder of around 4000 innocent babies per year. That is not protecting the right to life! Our state should immediately abolish abortion and protect humans in the womb the same as us.
Right now in the state of Oklahoma we have elected officials at all levels that at the best are apathetic to our liberties and at the worst wish to restrict our liberties. Our state is not fulfilling its chief responsibility. We the people need to elect individuals that will fight tooth and nail to protect us, not look the other way.
The pursuit of happiness is best described as the fulfillment of personal responsibility as each individual’s conscience dictates. We all have played the blame game for far too long. We have to accept our responsibility for the condition of our state and our country. We must repent of our apathy and compromise and return to a fierce population that demands freedom from our government so that we can fulfill our responsibilities and pursue happiness.
A vote for me is a vote to send someone who will consistently and adamantly demand the abolition of abortion, not the regulation of murder. I will absolutely support and author legislation that actually protects liberties and I will actively oppose compromises and empty bills.
