Gore Schedules May 15 Spring Cleanup

Wednesday, May 5, 2021 - The Town of Gore has scheduled its annual Spring Cleanup for Saturday, May 15, when Gore Public Works Authority (GPWA) customers will be able to dispose of unwanted waste from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Not all items will be accepted, including:

*Hazardous materials

*Construction debris

*Tires

*Brush/tree limbs

*Liquids/paint

*Appliances containing Freon, such as refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners


Items containing Freon may be accepted if the compressor is removed, and compressors will be accepted once they are removed. Batteries will also be accepted.


Drop-off for refuse materials will be in large containers that will temporarily be placed in the gravel parking lot west of the baseball fields at the Steve Owens Sports Complex on Steve Owens Road, which adjoins East 3rd Street and meets U.S. Highway 64 on Gore's east side.


To participate in the cleanup, participants must present a current GPWA water bill. Photo identification may also be required.
