Gore Public Schools planning back-to-school bash for Aug. 12

Tuesday, July 25, 2023 - Gore Public Schools is hosting a back-to-school bash on Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event will be held at Ray Fine Park in Gore, and the entire community is welcome to attend.

Various organizations, including Connors State College and the County Health Department, have been invited to participate in the event by setting up booths and providing resources regarding their respective organizations.

The back-to-school bash promises fun for everyone, offering booths, games, and chances to win prizes while enjoying outdoor water activities.

Free food will also be on site thanks to Armstrong Bank, which has generously sponsored the event to provide free hot dogs for attendees.

The main objective of the back-to-school bash is to collect school supplies. Organizers are hoping to fill a school bus with supplies to eliminate the annual cost of school supplies, which can leave families feeling overwhelmed.

The supplies collected are then distributed among the Gore Public School staff, who use them to benefit their students.

The event aims to create a fun and interactive atmosphere where families can come together to prepare for the upcoming school year. So, make sure you bring your donation of school supplies and head out to Ray Fine Park on Saturday, August 12!

Ray Fine Park is located at 305 Ray Fine Dr. in Gore.
