Free rabies clinic set for Saturday

Wednesday, August 7, 2022 - Forever Friends Humane Society is hosting a pet-friendly day of fun on Saturday, September 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place on the Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library lawn and gazebo.

The day will feature door prizes, raffles, drinks and snacks, plus a pop-up tent filled with items available to purchase for your furry friend. The Sequoyah Animal Advocates and Sallisaw Animal Care Facility will also be on site with plenty of dogs who are awaiting their forever homes.

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., a free rabies clinic will be held, including free DHPP vaccines for canines and FVRCP vaccinations for felines. It is important to note that all dogs will need to be leashed and cats will need to be in a carrier.

Microchips for pets with free registration will cost $10. For a small donation, deworming, nail trimming, and paw print art will also be offered. Both cash and cards will be accepted forms of payment during the event.

The Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library is located at 101 East Cherokee Avenue in Sallisaw.
