20th Annual Gore Cruise Night set for Sept. 17


Tuesday, August 16, 2022 - The town of Gore is hosting the 20th annual Gore cruise night, car show, and burn out competition on September 17. Over $6,000 in cash and prizes will be given away during this year’s event.


The car show will be held on the main street of Gore from 3-6 p.m. Registration is free with a payout of $1000 for the best in show. $500 will be paid to winners of each category, including 1920s-1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and people’s choice.


The Crosstel burn out will begin at 6 p.m. and take place at 313 Steve Owens Drive. The first-place winner will receive $1000, second place $300, and third place $200.


After the burnout competition, it will be time to cruise. Be sure to pack your lawn chairs so you can get a front-row view of the various types of vehicles cruising along main street until 10 p.m.


In addition to the fun filled day, free hot dogs will be available for everyone, and Armstrong Bank will be providing entertainment for the little ones with a kid’s zone.


The MIX 105.1 will be providing music and broadcasting live prize drawing winners throughout the event.
