Tenkiller Kid’s Fishing Clinic planned for Saturday, May 21

Monday, May 16, 2022 - Tenkiller State Park is hosting the Tenkiller Kid’s Fishing Clinic at the Vian City Lake Saturday, May 21. Children ages 4 to 16 will have the opportunity to learn the sport of fishing and some may even reel in a few prizes.

Registration for the fishing clinic will begin at 10:00 a.m. Conservation stations will be set up to provide information and education for youth until the fishing begins at 11:00 a.m.

The Blackgum First Baptist church will be providing a hot dog lunch for all participants and their families.

Lunch and prize giveaways will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. To register for prizes, children will need to hold their own fishing pole during the clinic.

All participants must provide their own fishing equipment and bait. Organizers of the Tenkiller Kids' Fishing Clinic ask that only live bait be used for this event.

For additional information or questions, contact Tenkiller State Park naturalist Leann Bunn at 918-489-5643.
