Shooting Suspect, Lee King, captured in Dallas


Thursday, July 22, 2021 - A suspect wanted by police in the shooting of two Greenwood, Ark. men on Interstate 40 near Vian Saturday is now in custody.


Authorities state that Lee King was arrested by the United State Marshal's Service after being located in a Dallas apartment.


Prior to his arrest this afternoon, Lee had last been seen in Antlers, Okla. after fleeing from police.


Lee was located at a relative's home and was unarmed, according to officials.


Lee shot and critically injured Derek Riggs and Jake Myers on Saturday after they had stopped on the interstate to help Lee.


Lee was driving a stolen vehicle at the time that he had obtained during a carjacking Saturday morning. He allegedly shot a female during that incident.
