Thursday, January 4, 2024 - The Sequoyah County OSU Cooperative Extension office will be offering the Arthritis Foundation’s Walk with Ease Program starting January 15 at 2 p.m.
The class will meet in Vian on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at the new event center located at 1110 N. Thorton St.
The Arthritis Foundation’s Walk with Ease Program is a free 6-week physical activity and self-management educational program.
All participants will receive a guidebook and a walking schedule to help get them safely moving toward better health.
While walking is the key activity, Walk with Ease is a multi-component program that includes health education, stretching and strengthening exercises, and motivational strategies.
Studies show that those who participate in the program can reduce the pain and discomfort of arthritis, increase balance, strength, and walking pace, build confidence in the ability to be physically active and improve overall health.
To register or for more information contact the Sequoyah County OSU Extension office at 918-775-4838.
