Monday, February 20, 2023 - The Sallisaw Police Department recently updated the look of their officers and police units with newly designed police badges and patches.
According to Sallisaw Police Chief Terry Franklin, the station's badge and patch have not been updated in 17 years.
Franklin said, "The police department is undergoing big changes with the remodel and expansion, so it felt like the perfect timing to move forward with the new designs to go along with our new look."
"I think the new designs will assist the police department with a more modern look and vibe," Franklin added.
In addition, the Sallisaw Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 148 has been working hard to update their look as well.
The organization recently released their new logo on the Sallisaw FOP Facebook page, which is also featured as the group's profile picture.
