Round-table meeting planned for area service providers

Tuesday, May 17, 2022 - The Community Resource Network has planned a round-table meeting for June 8, 2022. The group will meet from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the People, Inc. conference center in Sallisaw.

All service providers, agencies, and organizations throughout Sequoyah County and surrounding areas are invited to attend. Each organization will have the opportunity to share with other area providers information regarding the resources and services they offer.

Sequoyah County Coordinator for KI BOIS Melissa Lowe said, "Prior to COVID, each year we held a spring and fall round-table meeting, and in the summer, we would set up booths and open the doors to the public. Due to this being the first meeting since the pandemic, we will be hosting this event for service providers and organizations only."

The bi-annual round-table meeting promotes collaboration among agencies throughout the county. Through these collaboration efforts, individuals and families have the opportunity to take advantage of aid to assist in hardships they are currently facing.

"Sequoyah County residents are in dire need of resources right now. Families are struggling to make ends meet, so we are hoping this event will provide some relief," Lowe explained.

The meeting is free, and lunch will be provided to all attendees. Lowe asked that anyone planning to attend the event RSVP in advance to ensure plenty of food is available.

For more information or to RSVP to the meeting, contact Melissa Lowe at 918-776-0848.
