Local group aims to help those with addicted loved ones

Friday, September 2, 2022 - A new group has been formed to help those who have loved ones struggling from addition. The group “Parents of Addicted Loved-Ones” otherwise known as PAL will begin taking place every Tuesday starting September 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Do you have a loved-one who struggles with addiction? Do you feel your life is out of control because everything you do to help your loved one seems ineffective? Is your life full of conflict and frustration because of the strain addiction has put on your family? If you answered any of these questions with a yes, then PAL may be for you!

PAL is a new education and support group for all people 18 years and older who are trying to help a child, spouse, or other close family member deal with their addictions. There is no cost to attend this group and everyone is welcome to attend.

The weekly meetings will be held at the Sallisaw NOW coalition building located at 101 N. Wheeler Ave., in Sallisaw.

For more information, feel free to contact the local PAL Group by emailing sallisawPALGroup@gmail.com or visit the PAL website at PALGroup.org.
