Gore slates Fall Clean-Up Day Oct. 16


Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 - Gore Public Works Authority customers will be able to get rid of their unwanted items, with some exceptions, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16.


The drop-off site for those unwanted items will be in large containers that will be temporarily placed in the gravel parking lot west of the baseball fields at the Steve Owens Sports Complex. The address is on Steve Owens Road, which adjoins East 3rd Street and meets U.S. Highway 64 on the east side of Gore.


Customers will need to present a current GPWA water/trash bill to be allowed to participate. Photo identification may also be required.


The following items will NOT be accepted:

*Hazardous materials

*Construction debris

*Tires

*Brush or tree limbs

*Liquids

*Paint

*Appliances containing Freon, such as refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners, though these items may be accepted if the compressor is removed. Compressors will be accepted upon removal. Batteries will also be accepted.
