Monday, October 17, 2022 - A Gore man pleaded innocent Oct. 12 to a felony charge of assault and battery on a police officer.
Dylon Garrison, 38, could face up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $500 if he is convicted.
On Oct. 7, a Sequoyah County sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Sequoyah County jail in reference to a detention officer that had been assaulted,
When he arrived at the scene, the deputy made contact with a detention officer who said she had been hit twice by an inmate in the facility. She stated that she was trying to place an inmate, Garrison, in handcuffs when he “swung his arm and hit her” in the head.
